A little bit about ARC Estate and Gardens...

The Beginning...

Allistair Collier set up ARC in December 2010 following a succesful apprenticeship with the reknowned National Trust and roles where he not only gained huge amounts of experience and expertise, he also nurtured and developed his great talent.

Based on the back of his previous work and fast growing reputation, major contracts were secured and ARC's client portfolio grew.

Experience to date:

Upton House - Where the journey began! Here I gained my apprenticeship through the National Trust. I also worked at another National Trust site, Hidcote Manor, although my base and primary site was Upton House.

Lord Heseltine's Garden - Initially I worked in the Arboretum, where I learnt a huge amount. I then developed and progressed to the role of Supervisor, where I lead a team of 7 people that covered a 40 acre area. I continued my development and progressed further, expanding my range of skills and knowledge into the role of Supervisor within the Walled Garden. Here I lead a team of 2 that concentrated on fine decorative gardening. This included vegetable gardens, fine lawns and herbaceous boarders.

Large Private Estate - Here I was Assistant Head Gardener at the Estate in Oxfordshire and ran a team of 9 in a 60 acre garden.

Nicholson's - Worked for the large company Nicholson's in their maintanence team. Here I was their On-site Supervisor, running the maintanence teams whilst both on and off site.
